How does Borderstamp know I've crossed a border?
It checks your location against map data built into the app, entirely on your device. Nothing is looked up online.
Why would I give Borderstamp "Always" location access?
With "Always", stamps arrive automatically as you travel, even when the app is closed. If you'd rather not, choose "While Using" and open Borderstamp when you arrive somewhere new.
Can I get stamps for trips I took before installing Borderstamp?
Yes. Let Borderstamp scan your photos, and it will award stamps for places your photos were taken. Only the photos' location data is used, and nothing leaves your device.
Do my stamps sync between my devices?
Yes, if you're signed in to iCloud on each device. Sync uses your private iCloud database, which only you can access.

Borderstamp runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and requires iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26.
